The Beemer School System, School District Number 55, is a Class I elementary school affiliated with West Point Public Schools. With a low teacher/pupil ratio, the students are provided the attention necessary to ensure a quality education. The school’s first goal is to have every child reading at grade level by the end of third grade by using scientifically based reading approaches, programs, and assessments. In addition, it emphasizes the importance of early learning by providing a preschool.

All surrounding towns and cities offer preschool through grade 12 schooling. West Point has a Lutheran preschool, Lutheran grade school, and Catholic grade and high schools.
